Privacy
Last updated: 22 October 2026. This page explains what Orbit Studio stores, where, and who else is involved.
What stays on your computer
Your songs’ audio, the pictures and clips in your library, and the videos you export are kept in your browser’s private storage on your own computer. They are not uploaded to Orbit Studio. Rendering videos and (if you choose “on this computer”) transcribing lyrics happen in your browser.
What Orbit Studio stores
- Your account: email address and a securely hashed password (via Supabase).
- Your studio: song titles, notes, analysis (tempo, sections), lyrics, the AI reading of your songs, and video plans.
- Library records: where each picture came from, its credit and licence.
- Keys you add (OpenAI, Pexels): encrypted, used only for your studio, never shown back in full.
- MCP access tokens: only a one-way hash is stored.
- Your licence purchase (via Paddle).
Services involved
- Supabase (EU) — database and login.
- Vercel — hosting of the web app.
- Paddle — our merchant of record for payments; handles your payment details, invoices and VAT.
- OpenAI — only if you add your own key: song text, lyrics and (for transcription) a compressed copy of the song are sent to OpenAI under your account to analyse it. Nothing is stored by Orbit Studio.
- LM Studio — if you choose it, runs on your own computer; nothing leaves it.
- Unsplash, Pixabay, and Pexels — searched for high-resolution visual assets; your browser downloads chosen files directly.
- Hugging Face — your browser downloads the free speech model once for local transcription.
- Google Fonts — fonts used in videos are loaded from Google’s font servers.
- Remotion — the video engine. Each export sends Remotion a small usage event (licence type, your IP address, the site’s address). No video content or personal data from your project is included.
Your rights
You can delete songs, videos and library items at any time; deleting your studio removes its data. To delete your account or ask what we hold about you, write to us at the address in your welcome email. We don’t sell data and don’t use your songs to train AI.
